Brief Biography of Mr. Ryan Rucker

Mr. Ryan Rucker received a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Technology from The University of South Carolina-Aiken , along with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Technology Support and Training Management from The University of South Carolina's Columbia campus. Currently, he is enrolled in a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) at Valdosta State University focusing in Curriculum and Instruction.

While continuing to work on his education, Ryan has worked in the Information Technology field in several capacities. These capacities include serving as a Desktop Support Technician at his Alma Mata and at the Georgia Health Sciences University, where he was the functional system administrator for Blackboard. In addition, he has served as an instructional designer and technical trainer for organizations like the South Carolina Department of Transportation and Westwood College. Currently, Ryan is a full-time faculty member at ITT Technical Institute . He teaches courses in the Associate of Applied Science in Networking Systems Administration and the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Cyber security degree programs.

Ryan's primary research interests deal with learning management systems (LMS). He has been using Blackboard and Moodle for over five years and has provided support for both of these systems. In addition to providing support, Ryan has created multiple courses in both systems and has spoken at conferences showing teachers and administrators the benefits of using a LMS.
